Keisei Rose Nurseries, Inc., which manages Keisei Rose Garden,
is one of the world's leading rose-breeding companies.
It introduces famous overseas roses to Japan and has won numerous prizes at overseas rose contests.
The popular Rose Garden has some 10,000 roses of 1,500 varieties, planted separately according to type.
One of the garden's distinguishing features is the effort that has been put into displaying the roses, by,
for example, using arches and pergolas with climbing roses.
There is also a Rose Shop, selling perfumes and rose-scented teas,
and another rose garden where you can purchase many of the roses from the garden
and where events are held, making it very popular among rose lovers.
The best time to see the roses are mid-May to early June, and mid-October to early November.
Visitors can enjoy spring roses and autumn roses, but the peak season throughout the year is spring.
● How Long Does It Take to Tour Keisei Rose Garden:
It is a 15-minute walk from Yachiyo Midorigaoka Station on the Toyo Rapid Railway Line.
It takes at least one hour to see all the roses blooming in the 30,000-square-meter garden.
On an average year, when the roses are in full bloom, the park is often crowded,
and it's not uncommon for it to take up to 2 hours to tour the garden.

● The Rose Path From the Rose Arches:
This is an impressive pathway where visitors can pass under countless roses while enjoying a view of the entire rose garden.
● Word of the Roses of Versailles:
The terrace offers a panoramic view of the area where all six types of the famous "Rose of Versailles" are covered.
● Formal-Style Garden:
This is a formal, French-style garden. Screens, poles, arches, and pergolas are used to create a three-dimensional appearance for the 80 varieties of roses.
● Rose Gazebo:
The Rose Gazebo is recognized as a sacred place for lovers! This is a gazebo made of marble donated by designer Yumi Katsura. Weddings can also be held here.
● Merry-go-round "Brilliant Tree" (700 yen per person):
The first attraction in the Keisei Rose Garden, this merry-go-round can accommodate three people. Visitors can enjoy a fantastic experience surrounded by the scent of roses wafting from diffusers and bubbles floating magically in the air.
● Strawberry Hunt in the Land of Oz:
The "Strawberry Hunt in Oz" takes place in the backyard of the rose garden, which is normally off-limits to visitors. This strawberry picking facility opened in 2022, and here, visitors can enjoy a one-of-a-kind strawberry picking experience in a photogenic space.

The New Varieties of Hydrangeas
at Kamosou-kachoen garden park
it is located in Kakegawa city which is east of Hamamatsu city,
and it owns one of the best iris and hydrangea gardens in Japan.
In this site, there is a shoya residence "Kamo-sou" which you can enter.
It still retains its original architect since the Edo period, and the iris garden which covers one hectare,
in front of the entrance gate makes a very Japanese and beautiful scene.
There also is a 3000 square meter greenhouse with various flowers including
hydrangea which are in full bloom. You can enjoy light meals and
sweets at the coffee lounge in the greenhouse and the outside resting place
where you can look out over the iris garden.
LIMELIGHT FLOWERS TAKE CENTER STAGE FROM SUMMER THROUGH FALL
Limelight hydrangea
has a pleasing, mounded shape, but it's the blooms that attract attention.
In northern climates, the shrub flowers from late summer through late fall.
Along the Gulf Coast, the green blooms appear as early as late May and June.
The large flower clusters, known as panicles, have a broad, pyramidal shape.
The clustered flowers start as deep lime buds that open to delicate green and progress to lime-tinged cream. Long-lasting as cut flowers, the green blooms are a florist favorite.
Unlike bigleaf and mountain hydrangeas, which change flower color based on soil conditions,
Limelight blooms don't undergo any soil-related color change. But as the flowers mature and fall approaches,
they take on striking shades of pink, red, burgundy, and bronze. Left to dry on the plant, the blooms persist
through frost into winter, sometimes accompanied by leaves with a tint of autumn red. Cut and brought indoors
for dried arrangements, the flowers bring natural charm to homes through fall and winter months.

History
The name Samoyed comes from the Samoyedic people (also Samodeic people), a semi-nomadic people from Asia
who migrated to Siberia a thousand years ago, of the family of Sayantsi. They bred dogs for hard work in the
coldest habitable places on earth. (In the Siberian town of Oymyakon, for instance, temperatures of minus-60
degrees are common.) The Samoyede people lived in tents and huddled for warmth with their dog packs during
the Arctic nights. This type of human-canine cooperation for mutual survival forged a tight bond between
Samoyed dogs and people. When not sledging heavy loads across vast expanses of Siberia, Samoyed dogs
earned their feed as watchdogs and hunters. The Samoyede depended on reindeer as a vital source of food, fur,
and leather. At first, they used their dogs to hunt reindeer. But in time Samoyede culture shifted from hunting
reindeer to herding them. The bold white hunting dogs and haulers found a new role as stock dogs, moving and protecting the herds.
In the late 18th century, Arctic explorers returning to England introduced the Samoyed to British dog lovers.
Queen Alexandra was an admirer who did much to promote the breed as a companion and show dog.
In America, a sparkling white dog named Moustan of Argenteau made history in 1906 as the first of the breed
(then known as the Samoyede) registered by the AKC. American and European mushers of the early 20th century
knew the Samoyed as an enthusiastic hauler of supplies, capable of sledging one and a half times their own
weight. Scott, Shackleton, and Amundsen are a few of the era’s famous explorers who rode behind Sammies
through frozen expanses.

keep Sammies from drooling, preventing icicles from forming on the face. These are smart, social, mischievous
dogs who demand love and attention. Sammies need structure in training. Teach them what's expected of them early, and practice it with them often.
